Dear Writers & Readers,
The temptation is to distract; to point out the window and shout "HEY, LOOK! THAT DRAGON'S TUTU IS ON FIRE!"
Everyone's head would turn and we'd sneak down the fire escape before the angry crowd gathered its wits, pitchforks
held high, torches blazing, manuscripts raining down from the sky like bolts from Zeus zapping us into purgatory.
It's times like this that we wish we had editorial-soccer moms to step in and shelter us from literary referees hitting us
with foul calls. We all want to play through; no one wants to sit the bench. No one wants to be called unsportsmanlike.
We've gotten behind schedule and to that end we apologize.
We could blame the hurdles and burdens that have crossed our path for the last 12 months, but complaining diminishes
the victory, and though we've stumbled getting the next issue out as scheduled, literary victory is still the goal we're
committed to achieving. We've reorganized and have been fortunate to bring in a group of very enthusiastic interns to help
us sort through the submission process. The only "set-back" is that Mythium is now an ANNUAL journal, instead of bi-annual,
alternatively publishing ALL FICTION/CNF one issue and then ALL POETRY in the issue that follows.
Publication for Mythium issue #4 will be all fiction/cnf. No date has yet been set for publication, so please visit often for updates.
The path has been steep, but fortunately there are two sides to every hill.
- We thank everyone for their patience.
